Research Interest

Rivers defended his political science Master’s thesis exploring the determinants of presidential decision-making during international militarized disputes in March 2006. Now pursuing a Ph.D. in sociology, Rivers’ research interests include examining the worldviews and subjective beliefs of couples who practice consensual non-monogamy, as well as researching issues relating to LGBTQ rights and social policies.
