Environmental Sociology, Food Systems, and Social Movements
My research interests include food systems, gender, and social stratification. I am concerned with the role food regimes play in distinguishing social groups and, to an extent, food’s role as a symbol in culture and the ideologies expressed through diet. Further, I am fascinated with agroecosystems and their influence on food culture and contemporary environmental sociology literature.
