My research interests are in the areas of family, education, and work throughout the life course, with a particular focus on the links between health, as well as mental health, and role transition sequencing occurring across the transition to adulthood. I am currently involved in research that addresses the interplay of gender in changing depression across the life course via sequencing family formation with educational attainment; life course approaches to the study of labor market participation; and character development through high school sport participation.
