Education and Mental Health, Sense of Control, Life Course, Transition to Adulthood, Survey Methodology and Implementation.
My research interests are in the areas of family, education, and work throughout the life course, with a particular focus on the links between mental health, as well as health, and educational attainment across the transition to adulthood. I am currently involved in research investigating sense of control as an early determinant of adult depression; the links between motherhood, employment, parenthood, and mental health; and character development through high school sport participation.
