Research Interests
My primary research interest is campus sexual assault. I am interested in understanding how universities respond to sexual assault allegations and their prevention attempts. What measures do universities use to protect their student? Are these measures effective? Considering the vast underreporting of sexual assaults, I am especially interested in how both survivors and perpetrators of sexual assault interact with their academic institutions throughout an investigation. In particular, what about these interactions discourage survivors from reporting?
