Health and well-being, the body and embodiment (specifically body size, weight, and fatness), childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood, social psychology, quantitative methods, survey methodology
My broad areas of interest are health and the body, with a focus on weight and well-being. I study obesity and fatness as a social status, examining the effects of weight stigma and its role in the relationship between adiposity and well-being. I concentrate on children, adolescents, and young adults, seeing these stages as a critical periods in the life course. I use mainly quantitative methods and secondary data sources to conduct my research.
