Research Interest

My current research broadly focuses on poverty and health inequality. I am aiming to focus on the trap created in developing countries due to the synergism between demographic growth and population inertia which results in poorer living standards and ill health that eventually augments poverty. My past research has focused on ageing and subjective well-being of elderly in India using WHO-SAGE data and poverty and occupational mobility using panel data of India Human Development Survey (IHDS).
