Research Interests

My broad areas of interest are health and the body, with a focus on weight and well-being. I study obesity and fatness as a social status, examining the effects of weight stigma and its role in the relationship between adiposity and well-being. I concentrate on children, adolescents, and young adults, seeing these stages as a critical periods in the life course. I use mainly quantitative methods and secondary data sources to conduct my research.
