$25,000 in Scholarships Distributed at Annual Spring Banquet<\/h2>\n<\/header>\n

On April 25, WSU Sociology honored our faculty and students for their hard work and dedication. At the department\u2019s annual banquet,\u00a0 undergraduates were awarded nearly $16,000, while graduate student awardees received an additional $9,000 to support Sociology at WSU in the form of scholarships, teaching, and research awards. Faculty, students, and guests also celebrated the life and contributions of Professor Eugene Rosa.<\/p>\n

Nearly 100 people attended the event, which was emceed by department chair Lisa McIntyre and held on the WSU Pullman Campus. The department extends a big thank you to the staff who helped make the event such a success and congratulations to the awardees whose names are listed<\/a> in the evening\u2019s program.<\/p>\n
