Through this ongoing endeavor, the department brings in speakers who are sociology PhDs doing important and diverse work outside of academia. The department was honored to feature the following Sociologists @ Work for this year\u2019s series.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\r\n\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wsu-row wsu-row--sidebar-right\" >\r\n    \n<div class=\"wsu-column\"  style=\"\">\r\n\t\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Brian Goesling, PhD<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Goesling is a principal researcher at Mathematica, where he currently directs the Evaluation of Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Approaches project based on a large, multistate, random assignment evaluation of promising approaches to prevent teen pregnancy. Previously, she was a data scientist on the Enrollment Analytics team at Drexel University. Her favorite part of being a data scientist is working collaboratively with diverse teams and making compelling data visualizations. Fahey leverages data to teach her clients about jury behavior from data. You can find her in the field observing behavior behind two-way mirrors, analyzing data from large-scale surveys she designs, or in courtrooms across the country advising attorneys on how to implement the findings from her studies. Inlow, PhD<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Alana Inlow graduated with their PhD in Sociology from WSU in 2021. Alana is an assistant professor of teaching at the University of Denver in the Department of Sociology and Criminology. After receiving his PhD, Adam began a position as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Sociology Department at Indiana University with a join appointment at the Indiana University Network Science Institute. Adam has accepted a position in the Sociology Department at Oklahoma State University. Pierce is an assistant professor at Creighton University in the Department of Cultural and Social Studies.
