MACGH is a public health agency that\u00a0offers\u00a0a range of services and support to those impacted by problem gambling.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Whitney Shervey*<\/strong> successfully defended their master\u2019s thesis, \u201cThe Gender Wage Gap in the Restaurant Industry.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Safiya Hafiz*<\/strong> successfully defended her master\u2019s thesis, \u201cThe Effects of County-Level Characteristics on the Rate of Petitioned Juvenile Court Cases.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Zoey Rawson*<\/strong> successfully defended her master\u2019s thesis, \u201cGeographies of Transgender Minority Stress: The Role of U.S. States in Shaping Transgender Mental Health.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Emma Deneau*<\/strong> successfully defended her master\u2019s thesis, \u201cThe Geography of System Navigation Problems.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Thomas Familia*<\/strong> successfully defended his dissertation titled, \u201cParticipant in Green Energy Transitions: Climate Change Events, Organizational Challenges, and Trust.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Thomas Familia*<\/strong> accepted a post-doc position in the School of Complex Adaptive Systems at Arizona State University.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Faculty Awards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Vanessa Delgado<sup>\u2021<\/sup><\/strong>\u00a0was awarded a 2024\u20132025 ADVANCE at WSU External Mentor Grant.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Anna Zamora-Kapoor<sup>\u2021<\/sup><\/strong> (Principal Investigator) has been funded by the NIH AIM AHEAD Research Fellowship, with her proposal: Leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to examine sleep disorders and chronic cardiometabolic conditions across racial and ethnic groups. She plans to conduct a secondary data analysis with OCHIN data to improve knowledge in sleep health disparities.
