Department awards more than $40,000 at annual banquet<\/h2>\n<\/header>\n

Our annual departmental banquet again awarded more than $40,000 in scholarships to well-deserving undergraduate and graduate students. These awards recognized outstanding teaching, research, and service. Also, Dr. Jennifer Sherman received the Louis N. Gray Graduate Student Advocate Award for her work with graduate students.<\/p>\n

Rising senior sociology major Luis Monfeda-Rendon received the Exceptional Senior Award.<\/p>\n

Eric Allen, Katie Bittinger, Margaret DeMartini, and Darcy Hauslik<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Graduate students Eric Allen, Katie Bittinger, Darcy Hauslik, and Rebekah Torcasso-Sanchez all received teaching awards named for late WSU professor Joseph DeMartini. DeMartini’s wife, Margaret, attended the banquet.<\/p>\n
