Study Abroad

The study of human social behavior is as global as the world is round. All students are encouraged to expand their educational borders to settings beyond the Washington State University campuses.

Students may study at universities all over the world. Many programs include intensive language courses and some provide internship opportunities. Students can go abroad for the summer, one semester, or for an entire year.

Students may participate in the National Student Exchange Program and study at one of over 100 participating universities within the U.S, its territories, and Canada.

Students may also participate in the WSU education abroad program. Students interested in this program are especially encouraged to explore the scholarship opportunities available through this WSU program.

Sociology students have recently studied in Italy, South Africa, Costa Rica, and Brazil!
