Workplace Diversity

The minor in workplace diversity is designed specifically for students and/or professionals with the aim of preparing them for increasingly diverse and global workplaces. It will increase their intercultural understanding and cross cultural skills, as well as provide evidence of those skills to prospective or current employers.

Earning your minor

The minor requires 18 hours, 9 of which must be in 300-400-level courses taken in residence at WSU or through WSU-approved education abroad or educational exchange courses. Requirements effective Fall 2023

• SOC 341: Inclusive Workplace Leadership
• One of the following:
  • ANTH 203: Global Cultural Diversity [DIVR]
  • CES 101: Intro to Comparative Ethnic Studies [DIVR]
  • WGSS 101: Gender and Power: Intro to Women’s Studies [DIVR]
• One of the following:
  • SOC 340: Social Inequality [DIVR]
  • CES 301: Race and Global Inequality [DIVR]
