Research Interests

I am interested in researching how various cultures establish gender role norms. In particular, I want to explore how these norms evolve over time and how cultural/political events shift gender role expression. My secondary research interest includes workplace discrimination against women, how women address this discrimination, and the explicit/implicit penalties they experience at work. Previously, I examined how the current conflict in Ukraine impacted gender role expression for female Ukrainian immigrants in Toronto via civic engagement involvement.
