By Jordan Rinehart

On April 25, WSU Sociology honored our faculty and students for their hard work and dedication. At the department’s annual banquet,  undergraduates were awarded nearly $16,000, while graduate student awardees received an additional $9,000 to support Sociology at WSU in the form of scholarships, teaching, and research awards. Faculty, students, and guests also celebrated the life and contributions of Professor Eugene Rosa.

Nearly 100 people attended the event, which was emceed by department chair Lisa McIntyre and held on the WSU Pullman Campus. The department extends a big thank you to the staff who helped make the event such a success and congratulations to the awardees whose names are listed in the evening’s program.
